Joan Peñarroya remains at Partizan!

The Spanish coach arrived on the hot seat of the black-and-whites after the departure of Željko Obradović and initially signed a contract until the end of next season.

However, Peñarroya managed to convince Partizan’s management to further secure his position, especially after strong performances in the final stretch of the EuroLeague season, as well as victories in the “eternal” derby.

Thus, the former Barcelona coach has signed a deal until the summer of 2028, according to Meridian Sport.

The next step is to build a roster for the upcoming season according to his own ideas, with the help of Partizan’s sporting department.

According to the same source, over the past two months the black-and-white team’s coach has not been fully focused on that issue — partly because he was concentrating on competition, and partly because he primarily wanted players from the Spanish market that he is already familiar with.
