Norrie "called out" Djokovic: "I'm ready for anything when it comes to Novak - even to disrupt the match"
British tennis player Cameron Norrie will take the court against Novak Djokovic for the seventh time in his career, in the match of the third round of the US Open. The duel is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Serbian time on the biggest court in New York, "Arthur Ashe"
Their head to head duels so far does not favor Norrie - in the previous six meetings, the Serbian champion celebrated all six times. Nevertheless, the Briton is aware of the challenge that awaits him and speaks of its rival with great respect.
"The level at which Novak Djokovic plays at the age of 38 is incredible. He always changes tactics and that's why it's incredibly difficult for anyone to oppose him," said Norrie.
The British tennis player emphasizes that he is ready for all scenarios that Djokovic can bring to the court.
"I'm ready for him to play incredibly well. I'm ready for him to not be that good. I'm ready for him to disrupt the match for some reason and then come back and play incredibly well. He's incredibly good at competition and at tactics. He always finds a way to win," Norrie added.
This duel will also be special because the Briton will be playing on "Arthur Ashe" Stadium for the first time in his career.
"I will get the opportunity to play on the biggest court in the world of tennis, against one of the best tennis players in the history of our sport. You can't ask for much more than that," concluded Norrie.
