"Today will be partly cloudy and warm, with sunny intervals. During the afternoon, rain and brief thunderstorms are expected in some areas, mainly in western Vojvodina and the hilly and mountainous regions. Small hail and hail are also possible locally. Winds will be light, becoming moderate northwesterly in the afternoon. Highs will range from 32°C to 36°C," the Republic Hydrometeorological Service (RHMZ) said on its website.

On Friday (July 17), the weather will be mostly sunny and very hot, with maximum temperatures between 33°C and 37°C.

On Saturday (July 18), a weather change is expected. In the morning and before noon, temperatures will begin to fall in northern and western Serbia, while by the afternoon and evening the change will spread to the rest of the country, bringing rain, showers, thunderstorms, and locally severe storms accompanied by hail and strong winds.

Maximum temperatures will range from 32°C in the north and west to 37°C in southeastern Serbia.

On Sunday (July 19), skies will clear over northern Serbia, while the rest of the country will remain partly cloudy with occasional rain.

At the beginning of next week (July 20–22), mostly sunny weather is expected, with more comfortable temperatures ranging from 24°C to 31°C in most areas.

Almost all of Serbia under an orange weather warning

An orange weather alert is in effect across most of Serbia today, while the remaining areas are under a yellow weather alert.

An orange alert indicates dangerous weather conditions, meaning citizens should exercise increased caution and follow the advice of meteorologists and the relevant authorities.
