Citizens of Serbia, a warning has been issued: Get ready

According to the official map of RHMZ, the orange weather alarm, which indicates dangerous weather, has been activated in the regions of Bačka, Banat, Srem, Belgrade, Šumadija, West and South-West Serbia.

This level of warning implies that the forecasted weather phenomena are intense, that they can cause material damage and pose a danger to the safety of people and animals. In such situations, special caution is recommended, avoiding risky outdoor activities and regular monitoring of forecasts and warnings.

In other regions, Eastern and Southeastern Serbia, Pomoravlje and Kosovo and Metohija, a yellow weather alert is in effect, which means that the weather can be potentially dangerous. Although the weather conditions in these regions are not unusual for this time of year, there is still a risk for outdoor activities, especially in case of sudden development of bad weather. A yellow alarm is a call for extra attention and information about the current weather conditions.

Citizens are advised to follow the recommendations of the competent services, to secure movable objects on terraces and in yards, avoid staying under trees and prepare for possible interruptions in the supply of electricity. Drivers are especially urged to adjust their speed to the road conditions and pay attention to the possible overflows of torrential streams in certain parts of the country.
