Vučić with EBRD Delegation for Southeast Europe: Regional Center in Belgrade announced PHOTO
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić met today in Belgrade with a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for Southeast Europe, led by Director Grzegorz Zieliński.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) announced at the end of last year that it had invested €10 billion in Serbia since 2001 and that it wanted to further strengthen its partnership with the country.
"Good and substantive discussion with the Southeast Europe delegation. I particularly emphasized that I am pleased with the decision to establish the EBRD Regional Center for Southeast Europe within its Belgrade office, which represents another confirmation of Serbia's importance as a reliable partner and a significant economic and investment hub of the region," Vučić said in a post on his Instagram profile.
He added that they discussed Serbia's strategic development priorities in the areas of sustainable infrastructure, energy, green transition, renewable energy sources, and improving energy efficiency. He stated that the implementation of these projects is important for strengthening the competitiveness of the economy, encouraging sustainable economic growth, and improving citizens' quality of life.
"The meeting was an excellent opportunity to discuss the continuation of successful cooperation and to raise it to a level that corresponds to Serbia's accelerated and strong development and its role as a driver of development for the entire region," Vučić concluded.
