Vučić at the World Urban Forum in Baku, will address participants: "I proudly represent Serbia" PHOTO/VIDEO
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić arrived at the Congress Center in Baku, where the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) will begin today. He was welcomed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and UN-Habitat Executive Director Anacláudia Rossbach.
After the opening ceremony, Vučić is expected to attend addresses by the hosts, senior United Nations (UN) officials, representatives of prominent global companies, as well as leading international civil society actors in the field of sustainable development.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and UN-Habitat Executive Director Anacláudia Rossbach are scheduled to speak, along with video messages from UN Secretary-General António Guterres and UN General Assembly President Annalena Baerbock.
Vučić is also expected to address the central segment of the Forum, which brings together heads of state and government.
On the sidelines of the event, Vučić is expected to hold a series of meetings and talks with various officials.
This year’s gathering brings together more than 41,000 participants from 180 countries, including heads of state and government, ministers, mayors, business leaders, academics, and civil society representatives.

“I proudly represent Serbia at the World Urban Forum, one of the most important global gatherings dedicated to the future of cities, sustainable development, and improving the quality of life for citizens.
It is of great importance for our country to be part of discussions on modern solutions in infrastructure, energy, transport, and smart urban development, because only through serious planning and responsible policy can we continue to build a modern and successful country.
During the forum, I will have numerous meetings with world officials, representatives of international organizations and companies, with the aim of securing new investments, partnerships, and additional opportunities for progress and an even better future for Serbia,” the Instagram post stated.
