Vučić in Mladenovac: "There's nothing more important than caring for our children; we fight for our citizens"

The reconstruction works on the Mladenovac High School, which was founded in 1950, began on January 16, 2024.

The Ministry of Public Investment stated that the current school building was constructed in 1966, that the school now employs 70 staff members, and that it is attended by around 600 students.

The total value of the investment is 325,065,239.48 dinars, of which the value of the construction works amounts to 272,817,734.64 dinars.

Of that amount, the Ministry invested 194,119,657.92 dinars, while 78,698,076.72 dinars were provided by the City Secretariat for Education and Child Welfare.

The value of the equipment, funded by the City Secretariat for Education and Child Welfare, amounts to 52,247,504.84 dinars.

The building’s area before the reconstruction and expansion was 2,071.65 square meters, and now it measures 2,179.34 square meters. The works included reconstruction, repair, and adaptation of the entire building, along with the extension of the student entrance hall.

The gym room was not included in the reconstruction due to incomplete project-technical documentation at the time.

President Vučić was greeted in front of the high school by a large crowd of citizens waving Serbian flags.

Vučić shared photos of the school before and after the reconstruction on Instagram.

The photos show that after the reconstruction, the school is now modernly equipped, with classrooms featuring computers, whereas before the renovation, parts of the facade were falling off and the bathroom doors were broken.
