Vučić on the decision of the Higher Court in canopy case: "Justice must reach families of victims in Novi Sad"

President Aleksandar Vučić commented on the new decision of the Non-Trial Panel of the Higher Court in Novi Sad, which suspended the criminal proceedings in the case of the canopy collapse at Novi Sad Railway Station against Goran Vesić and Jelena Tanasković.

"At no point did I interfere, nor would I allow myself to do so. From the beginning, I have pointed out the shortcomings, and I have no influence over any prosecutors. The only thing I know is that justice must be served and reach the homes of those whose family members suffered, and Serbia must fight for that," Vučić said on the matter.

For reference, the Non-Trial Panel of the Higher Court in Novi Sad yesterday decided to suspend the criminal proceedings in the case of the canopy collapse at the Novi Sad Railway Station against Goran Vesić, Jelena Tanasković, Anita Dimoski, and three other individuals.
