Ministry of Internal Affairs states that today that in Novi Sad, a public gathering will take place from 10:00 AM to mark the anniversary of the tragedy in which 16 citizens died due to the collapse of the canopy at the railway station in the city.
At the peak of this public gathering, in the area of Novi Sad, from 11:52 AM to 12:08 PM, approximately 39,000 citizens were present, having arrived in Novi Sad from across the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
Afterwards, people began to disperse, and certain number of participants have gathered at the Quay of the Raid Victims.
There have been no incidents or security-related events during this public gathering.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in accordance with the law, is taking measures and actions within its authority to ensure the safety of all citizens and property.
