At the beginning, all the members of the Government of Serbia were introduced, with the singing of the hymn "God of Justice".

"Dear citizens of Serbia, ladies and gentlemen, when I accepted the invitation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić a little more than 100 years ago to make myself available to the motherland, I did so as a Serb, a son of my country, guided by the spirit of the Kosovo Covenant and determined to put all my mental and physical capacities at the service of Serbia," said Macut at the beginning of his address.

Protection of unity and constitutional order at any cost

Macut pointed out that the program of this government was and will remain the protection of national unity and the constitutional order - at any cost.

"It is a path from which we will not deviate. My hand will be extended to all those who sincerely wish good for this country, until there is even the slightest glimmer of hope that together we can do something good for our homeland," said Macut.

He pointed out that today he is submitting a report to the people of Serbia and that, as he said, the people, as the supreme bearer of sovereignty, should appreciate and value their actions.

"The special importance of today's session is given by the fact that it is being held right here - in Knjaževac, a place deeply rooted in the history of Serbian statehood and the struggle for freedom. With this act, we confirm our commitment to the policy of bringing institutions closer to citizens and respecting the role that every part of Serbia plays in building our common future," said Macut.

He stated that he saw his role as Prime Minister first and foremost as a mediator of the state of anger in which we find ourselves and that is why he took the position from the start because it was necessary to harmonize relations in our society.

"With such an attitude, we can and must show the people who sincerely strives for the normalization of relations in our society and its gradual improvement, and who is tendentiously and maliciously preparing the ground for the execution of the revolution in a state of social unrest and chaos in order to slow down Serbia on its path of development in such a state of social disarray in order to damage our country, appropriate it as revolutionary booty, abuse it and, probably, ultimately disintegrate and break it," said Macut.

About blockades

According to his words, the main means of carrying out this plan was the agitation of the people, chaos, disrespect for the law and the Constitution, spreading and conveying panic with one ominous, intolerant, expletive and threatening word, "pumping".

He pointed out that during his presentation, he said that he would build social harmony as a value through dialogue, tolerance and work, through building a system of values that everyone must share.

"I persist in that attitude even today. Guided by that thought, I did everything in my power to establish a dialogue with the representatives of the University of Belgrade, as well as other universities throughout Serbia, and build mutual trust. We fulfilled all the demands that were realistic and achievable, and we extended the hand of reconciliation always, everywhere and to everyone wherever possible," said Macut.

He said that this outstretched hand is not a sign of fear and weakness, but a responsible approach to show in front of everyone in this country - who is in favor of dialogue and who is not - "who sincerely defends the general interests of the people and the state of Serbia, and who fights for coming to power and for personal and selfish interests".

Stating that during the election of the Government, he emphasized the need for fundamental reform of the education system as one of the priority tasks, Macut said that it is an urgent need - one of the most important tasks before us.

"From everything that has happened to us in the past months, we must draw lessons for the future: the process of educating children at all levels, and especially in the field of primary education, is a matter of strategic importance. It is a key matter. A matter of our survival - or disappearance," said Macut.

Law on textbooks needed to reaffirm national identity

Macut said that the Proposal for Amendments to the Law on Textbooks will be presented to MPs in the coming days and pointed out that this law is necessary to reaffirm and re-establish national identity after years and decades of deconstruction.

"We must, gentlemen and friends, after years and decades of deconstruction, reaffirm and re-establish national identity," said Macut during the presentation of the results of the government's work in the first 100 days.

As he stated, in the exposition he announced that he would support the initiative of the previous Prime Minister Miloš Vučević regarding the redefinition of the Law on Textbooks. Then he said, as he recalled, that children must have the highest quality educational resources in key subjects of national importance - textbooks created by the most reputable experts.

"Those textbooks must be equal throughout Serbia. That task, dear friends, when it comes to the Government of Serbia - we successfully completed the moment when we sent the Proposal for Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Textbooks to the National Assembly for consideration. That is the key thing. Without that, everything we do and what we build becomes meaningless," said Macut.

The Prime Minister states that the Bill provides a unique package of textbooks for primary school - so-called textbooks of national importance, and that this package consists of the Serbian language, Serbian language and literature, the world around us, nature and society, history, geography, musical culture and art culture, for students of primary education and upbringing who attend classes in the Serbian language.

According to Macut, the proposal for amendments to the Law, which will be presented to the MPs, defines that those textbooks, which are of national importance, transmit values, traditions, language and culture.

As he emphasized, because of this, they represent the basic means of building and preserving identity and national cohesion, stability and resistance of Serbia to external influences and one of the pillars of national security.

As he said, the textbooks will be published by a publishing house in Serbia, respecting the highest standards and achievements in the field of publishing.

"Taking into account the interests of parents and children, the state introduced the institute of the highest retail price of textbooks, which will be applied to all textbooks in the Republic of Serbia. In this way, we enabled a lower and more affordable price of textbooks on the domestic market, which was not the practice until now, especially when it comes to the structure and formation of the final price," said the Prime Minister.

Macut added that at the same time it was possible for members of national minorities to define and publish textbooks of special importance for their community.

With this, as he stated, Serbia confirmed once again that in Serbian society and state legal tradition, there is an awareness and a will to ensure the highest standards in exercising the rights of fellow citizens of other nationalities that exceed the standards of the European Union.

"This is how we begin the process of returning our education into our hands - into the hands of the people. This is how we preserve the culture of memory and the truth. This is how we save our citizens' money. This is how we build our country for the future, to know who we are and what we are. To preserve the unity of the people and the country. This is how we return Serbia to us," said Macut.

The Prime Minister thanked President Aleksandar Vučić who, as he said, strongly and decisively supported this idea as well as all those who invested themselves in this and who worked on this.

Minimum wage

He stated that in the first hundred days of the government's work, a decision was made on an extraordinary increase in the minimum wage from October 1 of this year by 9.4 percent, which increased the minimum wage to 58,630 dinars.

"Within the scope of the Ministry of Finance, and within the Social Economic Council (SES), a decision was made on the extraordinary increase of the minimum wage from October 1 of this year by 9.4 percent, which increased the minimum wage to 58,630 dinars, which is, expressed in euros, an increase from 450 to 500 euros," said Macut at the ceremonial session where he presented the results of his cabinet.

In the first 15 days, more than 200,000 vehicles passed through the Preljina-Požega highway

Macut stated today that in the first 15 days since the opening of the Preljina-Požega highway section, more than 200,000 vehicles passed.

Macut said at the official session of the government that the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure counts the construction of the Preljina-Požega section on the Miloš the Great highway, 19.5 kilometers long, among the most significant results from its scope of work in the first 100 days of the government.

"The importance of this project for the citizens of the Republic of Serbia is also confirmed by the fact that in the first 15 days of its opening, more than 200,000 vehicles passed through this section," said Macut in Knjaževac at the presentation of the most significant results achieved in the first 100 days of the Government.

"As long as I am the Prime Minister of Serbia, we will not impose sanctions on Russia"
