Vučić toured works on the construction of Tiršova 2: "I'm proud of Serbia that we're building such a facility"

"Thank you to the European Union for giving us huge money. This will be good, all the doctors will do their work. I am proud of Serbia that we are building such a facility. It is a great thing for our healthcare, our doctors, and our children who will be treated here. We will have all the capacities for the care and treatment of children," Vučić said.

"It will look phenomenally modern and good. Look at how it looks, like a spaceship," said Vučić.

"We have a better standard of living. Not only have salaries and pensions increased, but we also have better healthcare. The most important thing is taking care of people — this is an opportunity to show that we care about children and our future, and with accelerated construction we are achieving that. The sooner our children get the best possible equipment, we will show that we know how to take care of our people, and we hope to show it by 2025, not 2027," he added.

The president also pointed out that it is important to raise the economy in Serbia again.

"Serbia wants to move forward. Now I will be away for three days, and then when I come back we will continue to work and build, to see what we can do faster and better, to raise the growth rate, to ensure stability as much as possible, before tourists come to us, to raise our construction sector, which is good, the manufacturing industry is especially good, it holds up well in almost impossible conditions, where the European economies with which we have a great connection are falling, but because of all this, the construction sector fell, which of course pay the highest price for insufficient stability and for the problems caused by the blockades," said Vučić.

"We tied everything to EXPO"

Vučić said, after a tour of the works, that the rough construction works will be finished already in July, and that everything will be finished by the Expo, in order to present our country to the world in the best possible way.

"The Expo is not just a construction site, when I went yesterday I also saw the railway being built from the airport to other parts of the city. So, this is also the EXPO, we tied everything to the EXPO, because we want to present Serbia in the best light. The plan is for the Tiršova 2 hospital to be finished in December 2026, but no later than March 2027 and certainly before May when the EXPO starts," said Vučić.

As he stated, there is a great rush to build the National Stadium, as there is a delay of four months.

"We can make up two months during the summer by working in three shifts and now we are looking at where we can make up another two months to get everything done, because we have predicted that the grand opening will be at the biggest and most beautiful stadium," said Vučić.

He noted that there are problems, but that things are being resolved and moving forward.

"Happy Labor Day to everyone, may Serbia work and build, long live Serbia," said President Vučić.
