After the old competition for the selection of REM Council members was canceled and a new competition was announced, the students in the blockade announced that the blockade of the RTS facilities in Takovska and Aberdareva streets as well as in Košutnjak in Knez Višeslav Street was ending.

Last night around 10 p.m., when the full 14 days of the illegal blockade ended, the parking lot in front of the entrance to RTS in Takovska was almost empty.

Traffic in the streets surrounding the RTS building in Takovska and in Knez Višeslav in Košutnjak has been moving normally since midnight.

The Parliamentary Committee for Culture and Information voted to start a new procedure for proposing candidates for the election of members of the REM Council, and previously canceled the old competition, which was the condition of the students to end the blockade of the entrance to the RTS buildings.

Illegal blockades of the Radio and Television of Serbia buildings began on April 14 at 10 p.m. The students blocking the RTS facilities did not allow the security guards to be replaced on Thursday morning, which is why the RTS buildings were completely unprotected.

There were no security guards in the building for five days.

Students and citizens illegally blocked the entrances to the facilities of Radio and Television of Serbia in Takovska and Aberdareva streets, as well as the studio in Košutnjak, preventing employees from coming to their workplaces.

The blockade led to difficult working conditions.
