On his Instagram profile, Vučić stated that he discussed with representatives of Shandong Hi-Speed Group the further progress of joint infrastructure projects, as well as new opportunities to deepen cooperation in areas of great importance for Serbia’s development.

“For our country, cooperation with partners who have the knowledge, experience, and capacity to participate in the implementation of large and complex projects is of particular importance, because it is precisely such undertakings that change the face of Serbia and create conditions for even faster economic progress,” Vučić wrote.

He added that they discussed the progress of works on the Danube Corridor, one of the important transport routes for eastern Serbia, as well as the expectations that the remaining sections will be completed according to the planned schedule. They also talked about future projects, primarily the “Vožd Karadjordje” expressway and the second phase of development of the “Konstantin the Great” airport in Niš, which are of great importance for better connectivity, new investments, and more balanced development of our country.

“What is especially important to me is that we are building cooperation with our Chinese partners on the foundations of mutual trust, respect, and strong relations that our two countries have developed over the years. Serbia and China are connected by a steel-like friendship, and the good relations we nurture at the highest level provide an additional incentive to turn that cooperation into concrete results, visible to our citizens across the country,” Vučić added.

The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Siniša Mali, and the Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure, Aleksandra Sofronijević.
