The talks addressed the potential for further promotion of the bilateral and multilateral cooperation, a statement added.

The two officials "agreed that the continuity of high-level dialogue strongly contributes to the very good bilateral relations between Serbia and Russia." Dačić also received Benedikt, who "stressed the importance of aligning Serbia’s foreign policy to the principles of EU’s external policies," Tanjug reported.

The two officials "discussed relations between Serbia and the EU and Belgrade’s preparations to resume accession negotiations with the EU and the dialogue with Priština."

Dačić said that Serbia was "committed to moving the negotiating process with the EU forward and resolved to implement the necessary reforms," the MFA said.

The meetings today came ahead of Dačić's trip to Berlin on Friday.
