Serbia would rather listen to the EU who is broke than listen to Russia and the brics and the new powers that could make Serbia and the people loads of money....Serbia is stupid really.

It is no joke. You follow your investment strategy and I will follow mine.

How much money are you prepared to invest?

Put your money where your mouth is.

If you were a financial advisor, you would probably end up losing your customers vast amounts of money. BRICS can bring a good return, but are potentially a high risk investment. There are very solid industries in the EU that are far more robust. Also, the EU area in the longer term is likely to recover well and maintain significant growth. Russia has the problem from an investment point of view of not being a sound legal system and too much directed by corruption in various forms; while there are good investments there, I would not recommend investing too high a proportion of your portfolio.

In general I would recommend a diversified portfolio.

In the case of Russia vs EU (which is what exercises many on this site), I would say that Russia is a single player with a poor and still corrupted economy, whereas the EU is actually a number of nation states bound together with a good body of law, each state maybe having weaknesses, but certainly each having its own significant strengths.
