Guardian: Serbia looking for Mladić

British daily The Guardian writes that Serbia has intensified its search for Ratko Mladic over the last few weeks under the watchful eye of the European Union. Following Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic’s statement that Western intelligence services in Belgrade have sent teams of agents to work on arresting the Hague fugitive, the daily writes that these agents are most likely American and British. The daily writes that international forces in Bosnia-Hercegovina are also intensifying the search for the former Bosnian Serb military leader, and reiterates that the arrest of Mladic and the other Hague fugitive Goran Hadzic are Serbia’s main obstacles on the road to European integration. However, the search is being slowed by people working in the Serbian secret services and agencies, who, the daily states, are mostly people “dating back from [Slobodan] Milosevic's time.”
