Inflation at lower target limit by mid-2016

Inter-annual inflation totaled 12.8 percent in early 2013, NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic said.

The monetary policy is foreseeable and the results are unquestionable and evident as price and financial stability has been achieved, Tabakovic underscored.

Inflation was stable and low on Wednesday, inflation expectations were anchored and key policy rate was reduced from 11.75 per cent to 5.5 per cent, the same figure recorded back in 2013, Tabakovic said during the presentation of the report which was attended by IMF representatives.

She underscored that low and stable inflation is a goal that remains unchanged and totals 4 plus or minus 1.5 percent for 2017 and 2018.
