PM decides against calling early elections
"It's good not to have elections for at least six months, because it would be irresponsible at a time when we have UNESCO (Pristina's attempts to join the organization) and when the opening (in EU membeship negotiations) chapters is ahead.""Whether there will be (elections) in six, eight, or ten months, I don't know, but in the next three, four, five, there won't be any. It is my job to make decision in the interest of the people," Vucic siad.
He added he was "not afraid of elections and had no interest of becoming the president of Serbia, and had no citizens' trust for that."
Vucic said that according to opinion polls his party, the SNS, had higher rating alone than with coalition partners, and that "the IMF and the World Bank know who would win in Serbian elections."
The prime minister added that he had objections to the work of some ministers "because they would work better" - but that most of his cabinet "works well, and is often underappreciated."
