Citizens "show great interest" in 5:30 a.m. chat with PM

Meetings can be scheduled via telephone (the number is 011 3610736), via e-mail (razgovorsapremijerom@gov.rs), by sending a written request along with with the note, “conversation with the prime minister" - "or can come personally in front of the Serbian government, Nemanjina 11, Belgrade," a statement said.

Tanjug was told on Thursday there was already "great interest" in these encounters, with 450 applications arriving by phone and 120 by e-mail by 15:00 CET today.

"The phone has been ringing off the hook," said the government staffers.

Vucic recently announced he would be launching his "morning conversations" with citizens "in order to learn as much as possible about their problems." He also said at the time his new cabinet would occasionally hold sessions outside of Belgrade, and that he would be receiving citizens in other towns, as well.

Vucic, who now heads Serbia's caretaker government and has been given the mandate to form a new one, is likely to be reelected as prime minister by the time the first of these events takes place on July 8.
