Parliament to debate stripping MP of immunity
"In the final phase he called on his immunity as a deputy, which lasts 24 hours. I am willing to, during tomorrow, hold a session where we will discuss lifting the immunity of this MP," Speaker and SNS official Nebojša Stefanović told Pink TV.He added that the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) in this case "demonstrated that party membership cannot protect anyone and that all citizens are equal."
In the same interview, Stefanović expressed his hope that SNS leader Aleksandar Vučić will be the next prime minister of Serbia.
"I say, my hope, because it could happen that the SNS receives a majority of votes but not enough to form a government alone, and then some other parties will try to form it," he said.
Stefanović explained that after the election, the SNS will be willing to join a coalition "only with those who are willing to enter into in-depth combat against corruption, and for reforms."
