BELGRADE Serbia's Deputy PM Suzana Grubjesic says the government is willing to learn from positive experiences of other countries and truly conduct the reforms. She added that the reforms would help turn Serbia into a strong state capable of being “a participant rather than a topic of European policy”. “Serbia wants to be participant, not topic of EU policy” At an event dedicated to former German statesman Konrad Adenaurer, Grubjesic said that the EU membership was not the only goal. "It will come naturally at the end of a reform process aimed at improving all aspects of life in Serbia," she noted at the event entitled “Europe, Germany, Serbia - how Konrad Adenauer brings us together.” She said it was a priority for Serbia to start accession talks with the EU as soon as possible, which would not only strengthen and accelerate reforms, but also make the EU integration process irreversible.
