Dragan Djilas says a date of the presidential election would be revealed in the coming days and that the DS had not discussed its candidate for prime minister. Djilas, who is one of deputy leaders of the ruling Democratic Party (DS), and currently serves as mayor of Belgrade, spoke on Friday. "Presidential poll date to be known in coming days" After the signing of a coalition agreement with head of the Social Democratic Party of Serbia and cabinet minister Rasim Ljajic, Djilas stated that the decision regarding the presidential election was up to Serbian President and DS party leader Boris Tadic. It will be announced in the coming days whether presidential elections were going to be held simultaneously with the parliamentary, provincial and local ballots, added he. When asked if the DS had decided on who would be its candidate for prime minister, Djilas answered that there had been no discussions about it, adding that the coming elections were not for the post of prime minister. "Significance is imparted on topics that are not current. After the signing of a coalition agreement with head of the Social Democratic Party of Serbia and cabinet minister Rasim Ljajić, Đilas stated that the decision regarding the presidential election was up to Serbian President and DS party leader Boris Tadić.

It will be announced in the coming days whether presidential elections were going to be held simultaneously with the parliamentary, provincial and local ballots, added he.

When asked if the DS had decided on who would be its candidate for prime minister, Đilas answered that there had been no discussions about it, adding that the coming elections were not for the post of prime minister.
