The newspaper added that the prosecution was investigating current Bosnian defense minister Selmo Cikotić as part of the same case.During the fighting between Bugojno’s Muslims and Croats, Cikotić was commander of the Bosnian Army operative group West 3, commanded by Hague indictee General Enver Hadžihasanović.
Due to his wartime role, High International Representative Carlos Westendorp fired Mlaća from his position of Bugojno municipal chief in February 1999.
Eight months later, Westendorp’s heir in the post, Wolfgang Petritsch, decided to end Mlaća’s mandate as lawmaker in the Bosnian parliament.
