He added that EPS would soon call a tender for a strategic partner needed for construction of new capacities.

The last power-producing facility was completed 15 years ago, as the construction of Kolubara B power plant began in 1988 and was halted three years later.

EPS general director Vladimir Đorđević has recently said that a joint tender would be announced for the completion of Kolubara B, and construction of a third unit of Obrenovac-based Nikola Tesla B power plant.

Both facilities will have an installed capacity of 700 megawatts, and the future strategic partner could either invest into one or both power plants. The EPS officials expect the overall cost of both projects to reach EUR 1.5bn.
