Social Democratic Union (SDU) President and MP Zarko Korac on Thursday made a statement before a Third Municipal Court investigative judge. His statement was in connection to the threats made against him recently through the media by Sinisa Vucinic. SDU leader testifies in death threat case In the presence of the prosecutor, the investigative judge took Korac's statement in the capacity of a witness for the damaged party, while Belgrade weekly Vreme reporter Milos Vasic, who was also threatened by Vucinic, will be make his statement after returning from vacation. After the hearing, Korac said in a statement for Tanjug that he had taken Vucinic's threats seriously and that he expects the prosecution will raise an indictment against him. Vucinic is the subject of an investigation that will determine whether he has committed the crime of endangering security for which he could receive a prison term of up to three years. Vucinic, a self-styled leader of the Initiative Committee of the Serb Chetnik Movement of Republika Srpska (RS), announced through RS media in late July that Vasic and SDU leader Korac "will fare like their friend Zoran Djindjic", in reference to Serbia's assassinated prime minister.
