Radovan Karadzic has issued an apology to all those that knew him as Dragan Dabic. He has asked them to believe in themselves and not in the propaganda. Karadzic: Forgive me for Dabic In a statement to Montenegro daily Dan just prior to his extradition, the former Republic of Srpska president said that he forgave all those that had tarnished his name and published disinformation about him, explaining that he realized why they had done so. Karadzic asked forgiveness from all those that had known him as Dr.Dragan Dabic, adding that “projected analyses by colleagues amuse him.“ “I would ask my new friends and acquaintances that knew Dr.Dragan Dabic to forgive me and I call on them to believe in themselves, and not the propaganda,“ said the former Bosnian Serb leader, adding that he was still the same person that they had known. “As concerns analyses by those that don’t know me, I can say that their projections merely amuse me, but I forgive them,“ he said in the statement that was submitted to Dan by members of his closest family. “I would ask my new friends and acquaintances that knew Dr.Dragan Dabić to forgive me and I call on them to believe in themselves, and not the propaganda,“ said the former Bosnian Serb leader, adding that he was still the same person that they had known.

Karadžić appeared before the Hague Tribunal for the first time yesterday after his extradition, having spent the last 13 years on the run from the authorities.
