DDOR BG Car Show and Motopassion kick off in Belgrade

The show at the Belgrade Fair venue is bringing together over 300 exhibitors - including Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Citroen, Skoda, Hyundai, Honda, Ford, Suzuki, Peugeot, Volvo, FIAT, Mitsubishi, Kia, GAZ, Seat, Volkswagen, Renault, Nissan, Dacia, Toyota, Lada, Opel, Isuzu, Land Rover, Jaguar, and Infiniti - and will run through March 23.

Last year saw an increase in new car sales for the first time since 2008, as over 20,000 cars were sold, Sertic said.

This year's show features more than 40 car and 35 motorcycle debuts, which have recently been presented at the Geneva Motor Show, the minister said.

"In 2015, over 20,000 new cars were sold, which is a good sign for the Serbian auto market and auto industry,“ Sertic said, describing this as a result of the economic reforms put in place by the Serbian government.

This also signals a recovery in the global and Serbian car industry, the minister noted.
