Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dačić has stated that U.S. companies Apple and Google are coming to Serbia by the end of the year.

SAN JOSE Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic has stated that U.S. companies Apple and Google are coming to Serbia by the end of the year. He added that he believed these investments would be significant for improving the country's image. PM: Google, Apple to come to Serbia by year’s end After visiting the companies' offices in Silicon Valley, California, Dacic told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) that Google and Apple were planning on opening brand stores in Serbia. On Tuesday, Dacic took part in a conference in San Francisco, where he invited U.S. companies to invest in Serbia. He also met with the management of Hewlett-Packard, PayPal and Oracle to discuss possible investments in Serbia. PayPal, one of the world's best know online payment services, has been available in Serbia since April 10. In addition to buying, Serbian citizens will soon be able to sell products abroad using PayPal. The prime minister assured potential investors from the West Coast, above all companies in the IT sector, that Serbia is politically stable, open to investment and home to some of the world's greatest talents. According to Dacic, the government's goal is to turn Serbia into a technological and innovation center of Europe, and Belgrade is "working very hard to make this vision a reality."
