Serbian currency to strenghten slightly after holiday

On Tuesday, the first working day after Easter, the Serbian dinar (RSD) will strengthen against the euro slightly, the National Bank of Serbia announced.

On Tuesday, the first working day after Easter, the Serbian dinar (RSD) will strengthen against the euro slightly, the National Bank of Serbia announced. The official middle exchange rate will be set at RSD 111,5224 for one euro (EUR). The exchange rate on the last working day last week, Thursday, stood at RSD 111,5678, and is effective over the Easter holiday.

The central bank made no interventions in the inter-bank foreign exchange market on Thursday.

The NBS, however, sold EUR 558,5 million since the beginning of the year in order to "ease excessive daily oscillation of the exchange rate".
