Serbian President Boris Tadić on Saturday called on Serbians in the Diaspora to return to their mother country and invest in family businesses.

Serbian President Boris Tadic on Saturday called on Serbians in the Diaspora to return to their mother country and invest in family businesses. During a visit to Minipek-Plazane company in Despotovac which was founded by a Serb returnee from France Miodrag Jovic 13 years ago, the president underscored that he would like more Serbians from the Diaspora to follow in their footsteps and continue their work in Serbia. Tadic calls on Serbians to return, invest in Serbia “By this, you would not be a burden for the country and instead you would contribute to the development of the society and government by your private entrepreneurship,” Tadic said in his address to Serbians in the Diaspora and added that this move should receive support. The owner of Minipek-Plazane stated that the government needed to encourage small and mid-size companies and attract people from the Diaspora to invest in Serbia by simplifying administrative procedures for opening companies and doing business here.
