Serbia achieved an income of USD 1.3bn in trade with countries of the CEFTA agreement in 2009, according to the Statistics Bureau. The income is the result of the export of agricultural products, especially wheat, and beverages, according to the statement. USD 1.3bn income from CEFTA trade Serbia exported USD 2.6bn worth of products and imported USD 1.2bn from CEFTA countries. Iron and steel, along with electricity and non-metallic mineral products were imported most. Serbia’s foreign trade debt in 2009 was EUR 5.2bn, which is 39.2 percent less than last year. The total foreign trade exchange for Serbia in 2009 was EUR 17.1bn, which was 25.3 percent less than it was in 2008.

USD 1.3bn income from CEFTA trade

Serbia exported USD 2.6bn worth of products and imported USD 1.2bn from CEFTA countries.

Iron and steel, along with electricity and non-metallic mineral products were imported most.

Serbia’s foreign trade debt in 2009 was EUR 5.2bn, which is 39.2 percent less than last year.

The total foreign trade exchange for Serbia in 2009 was EUR 17.1bn, which was 25.3 percent less than it was in 2008.
