High-Speed RailwayThe project for the construction of a high-speed railway, designed for speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour between Novi Sad and Kelebija, included the double-track line and station facilities along the route, the reconstruction and modernization of the Novi Sad, Vrbas, and Subotica railway hubs, the separation of railway crossings from road and pedestrian/cycling paths, as well as the installation of electrotechnical infrastructure that enables safe traffic at projected speeds and the implementation of the European Train Control System (ETCS).Approximately 273 kilometers of new tracks were laid, including the double-track main line and station tracks. Along the Novi Sad &ndash; Subotica high-speed railway route, 58 new structures were built, including six bridges with a total length of 2,330 meters, five galleries, 15 underpasses, and 27 overpasses with a combined length of almost four kilometers.In addition, for the first time in Serbia, three ecoducts were constructed, each 46 meters long, designed to allow animals to safely cross over the railway.
