Senator Tillis reveals who contributed to the Republicans' defeat
Republican Senator Tom Tillis said there was no single reason why his party lost seats in the US midterm elections, stressing that anyone claiming otherwise is mistaken.
"We need to come together again and be ready for 2028. We won't succeed if we try to repeat what I believe were well-intentioned but poorly implemented policies over the past 18 months," Tillis said in an interview with CNN's Kaitlan Collins.
The North Carolina senator, who is soon to retire from politics, has frequently criticised President Donald Trump and his administration.
Tillis then named several officials whom he believes contributed to the Republicans' electoral defeat through their actions. Among them were former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth.
