Four people were killed and another four injured in a shooting in the village of Khmelnytske near Sevastopol, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev said on Tuesday.
According to Razvozhayev, the suspected gunman has been detained, and the injured are receiving medical treatment, TASS reported.
"A tragedy has occurred in Sevastopol. An emergency situation took place in the village of Khmelnytske. According to preliminary reports, a soldier opened fire on his fellow servicemen. As a result, one person was killed and another wounded. The attacker then injured three more people in the village and killed three civilians: two men, aged 71 and 59, and a 64-year-old woman," Razvozhayev wrote on his Maks channel.
Emergency services, investigators and forensic experts are at the scene, working to establish all the circumstances and causes of the incident.
Ukrainian Air Defenses shoot down 117 Russian drones
Ukraine's air defense forces shot down 117 Russian drones overnight, the Ukrainian Air Force said.
In a statement posted on Telegram, the Air Force said Russian drones struck 14 locations across Ukraine during the night, Ukrinform reported.
It added that the drones were launched toward northern, southern and eastern Ukraine.

Fire also breaks out in the Leningrad region
A logistics facility operated by Wildberries in Krasny Bor, in Russia's Leningrad region, caught fire following a drone attack, the press service of the merged company Wildberries & Russ (RVB) said on Tuesday.
"The drone attack on the company's logistics facility in Krasny Bor (Leningrad region) caused a fire. Fire crews are at the scene. The facility had been evacuated in advance. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties," the statement said, as quoted by TASS.
The company added that it had temporarily suspended the acceptance of incoming deliveries at the site and redirected them to other logistics facilities.
Heavy strikes on the Moscow region
At least five people were killed and six injured this morning in a Ukrainian drone attack on the Moscow region, regional Governor Andrey Vorobyov said.
In a post on Telegram, he said that several fires broke out in the Novoselki industrial zone following the Ukrainian drone strikes on the Moscow region. The largest fire was at a warehouse and has already been extinguished, RIA Novosti reported.
Vorobyov said that the attacks also damaged an electrical substation and an administrative building, while firefighters and emergency response teams continue their work at the scene.
