At least four people were killed and 51 injured in a massive attack by Russian forces on Kyiv, the mayor of Ukraine’s capital, Vitali Klitschko, said this morning.

“At present, four fatalities have been confirmed in the capital. A total of 51 people have been reported injured, including three children. Doctors have hospitalized 35 people, while the others received medical assistance at the scene or on an outpatient basis,” Klitschko said in a post on Telegram.

According to him, “as a result of the enemy’s massive attack on the capital, damage has been recorded in various parts of the city.”

In Kyiv’s Obolon District, debris from an unmanned aerial vehicle fell in open areas near a kindergarten.

In the Holosiivskyi District, the second and third floors of a medical clinic were destroyed.

Several vehicles caught fire in an open area after debris from an unmanned aerial vehicle fell to the ground.

In Kyiv’s Solomianskyi District, debris struck the upper floors of a 15-story residential building, while a fire also broke out in a 24-story building on the seventh and eighth floors.

According to preliminary information, fires caused by falling debris were also reported at two private homes.

“All emergency services are working on the ground to deal with the consequences of the attack,” the Mayor of Kyiv added.

Prior to the attack, Vitali Klitschko warned Kyiv residents about the possibility of a large-scale enemy strike and urged them to remain in shelters.
