All Cabinet members are expected to attend the meeting, Fox News confirmed, including outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

The meeting comes as the administration weighs its next steps in the high-stakes negotiations aimed at securing a broader agreement with Iran amid a fragile ceasefire.

The location itself underscores the importance of the talks. The choice of the secluded retreat in the mountains of Maryland — which Donald Trump rarely visits, unlike previous presidents — reflects the sensitive nature of the discussions.

Camp David has previously hosted major U.S.-led diplomatic events, including the 1978 agreements between Israel and Egypt under President Jimmy Carter, as well as the failed Israeli-Palestinian summit in 2000 under President Bill Clinton.

Trump, however, has been a rare visitor.

This will be only the second time Trump has visited Camp David during his second term. The first came just days before the United States launched strikes on Iran’s nuclear program in June 2025.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio previously said that discussions are underway regarding a possible agreement with Iran, but that several more days will be needed to finalize the specific wording, the United States Department of State announced today.

Over the weekend, progress in the peace talks appeared to be underway before Trump told both sides “not to rush” into an agreement. Overnight, the United States launched new strikes in what it described as “self-defense.”
