Turkey has warned the United States, Iraq, and Kurdish forces that it will launch a military operation if Kurdish organizations become involved in operations against Iran, reports the portal Politika.

According to information Turkey received at the beginning of the attacks on Iran, Israel allegedly attempted to negotiate with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and its Iranian branch, PJAK, which Ankara classifies as terrorist organizations. These are paramilitary and political groups.

Negotiations reportedly concerned their participation in the fighting against Iran as ground intermediary forces, with the plan allegedly facilitated by the Israeli intelligence service Mossad, which contacted the leaders of these groups. The plan failed due to Turkey’s efforts.

During a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan firmly opposed the involvement of Kurdish militant groups in the war against Iran.

He reminded that Turkey’s position on Iran’s territorial integrity is clear and warned that Turkey would intervene militarily “regardless of any process, just as in Syria.”

“We will not listen to any stories about ongoing or active processes or anything similar. We will strike. You have seen what happened in Syria. We will do here what we did there. We will not listen to any process. Necessary actions will be taken at the slightest attempt to spread the war fire in the region,” Erdoğan said.

PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan also stated that there must be absolutely no Kurdish intervention regarding Iran, according to Politika.
