Replacement for Larijani found

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the state system continues to function following the death of Ali Larijani, and that a replacement was immediately appointed.

'If they kill someone else, the same thing will happen. If they kill the foreign minister, someone will take over his position,’ Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in an interview with Al Jazeera.

He added that he does not understand how the U.S. and Israel have not realized so far that Iran has a strong political structure based on established institutions.

‘Of course, people have a certain role and each individual has influence to some degree, but the sustainability of Iran’s political system structure is what matters,’ he stated.
