Meeting between Putin, Trump, and Zelensky – only under one condition

"Perhaps we should agree here that the three presidents meet only if it is necessary to finalize agreements, or, as the Americans say, a deal. That is probably correct," Peskov said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin, according to Interfax.

Speaking about the possibility of organizing a meeting between the Russian president and Zelensky, Peskov referred to previous statements by the Ukrainian president, in which he spoke about "what Ukraine will never accept, what it will not agree to, and what it intends to do next."

"There is no need to even analyze (the statements), we just need to remember and ask ourselves whether it makes sense to meet at the highest level if the Kyiv regime continues to maintain this stance," Peskov said.

When asked whether the offer for Zelensky to come to Moscow if he wishes to discuss anything still stands, Peskov answered affirmatively.

"Yes, that was President Putin’s word. He always keeps his word," Peskov said.

He noted that the territorial issue remains the most complex aspect of the Ukrainian settlement, and that any meeting between Putin and Zelensky must be preceded by meticulous expert-level work.

"The territorial issue is the most complicated, and of course, any serious meetings must be preceded by meticulous work at the expert level," Peskov said.
