New shooting in the United States: One person in critical condition PHOTO
One person was wounded in an incident that occurred this morning involving the U.S. Border Patrol in the southern part of Pima County, Arizona, the county sheriff’s spokesperson said.
Firefighters from Santa Rita County said the person was airlifted in critical condition to a regional trauma center.
The circumstances of the shooting are still unclear, and there is no information at this time on whether any law enforcement or Border Patrol officers were injured.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI are assisting with the investigation.
This shooting comes three days after ICE agents killed A.P. in Minnesota and weeks after an ICE officer killed Renée Good.
Since September of last year, federal immigration officers have shot 12 people.
