Confirmed: New Putin–Trump meeting scheduled; location revealed

"I have just finished a very productive phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. President Putin congratulated me and the United States on a great achievement — the establishment of peace in the Middle East, something he said people have dreamed of for centuries.

I believe that success in the Middle East will also help in our negotiations to end the war with Russia/Ukraine. President Putin thanked First Lady Melania for her efforts regarding children. He was very grateful and said this will continue."

"We also spent a considerable amount of time discussing trade between Russia and the United States after the end of the war with Ukraine. At the end of the call, we agreed that next week our senior advisors will hold a meeting. The first meetings on the U.S. side will be led by Secretary of State Mark Rubio, along with others to be appointed.

The meeting location has yet to be determined. President Putin and I will then meet at a mutually agreed location in Budapest, Hungary, to try to end this 'inglorious' war between Russia and Ukraine.

President Zelensky and I will meet tomorrow in the Oval Office, where we will discuss my conversation with President Putin and many other topics. I believe significant progress was made in today’s phone call," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The phone conversation between the two leaders recently concluded, the White House reported, describing it as “good and productive.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to arrive in Washington for an official visit tomorrow.
