Trump's dramatic warning at the UN: "We will wipe you off the face of the earth!"
US President Donald Trump today accused the United Nations of financing "uncontrolled migration" and creating problems for Western countries.
"The UN not only does not solve the problems it should, but too often actually creates new problems that we need to solve. The best example is the number one political issue of our time, the crisis of uncontrolled migration," Trump said in his address to the United Nations General Assembly in New York, according to CNN.
"Your countries are being destroyed. The United Nations is funding an attack on Western countries and their borders," Trump said.
He said that UN aid to migrants enabled people to illegally enter the United States of America, which now the US authorities "must expel".
"The UN has also provided food, accommodation, transportation and debit cards to illegal aliens," Trump said.
He added that the UN should protect countries from "invasions", instead of creating and financing them.
"In the United States, we reject the idea that vast numbers of people from foreign countries can be allowed to travel halfway around the world, trample our borders, violate our sovereignty, cause crime and deplete our social welfare network," Trump said.
He also criticized the immigration policies of other countries.
"It's time to end the failed experiment of open borders. You have to end it now. I'm really good at this stuff. Your countries are going to hell," Trump said.
Speaking about the actions of the US administration against cartels in the waters around Latin America, Trump said that the US "recently began using the supreme power of the military to destroy the Venezuelan terrorists and human trafficking networks led by" Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. Trump addressed a warning, as he said, to any terrorist thug who smuggles poisonous drugs into the United States of America.
"Please be warned that we will wipe you off the face of the earth," Trump said.
According to a decision by the Trump administration, the US military has deployed more than 4,000 marines and sailors to the waters around Latin America and the Caribbean as part of an increased effort to fight drug cartels.
Trump also announced that his administration will lead "international efforts to implement the Biological Weapons Convention" through an artificial intelligence verification system. Trump said he would meet with "top world leaders" at the convention banning the development, production and procurement of biological weapons and would pioneer an "artificial intelligence verification system that everyone can trust."
"As we strive today to reduce the threat posed by dangerous weapons, I also call on every nation to join us in ending the development of biological weapons once and for all," Trump said.
Trump added that he is in favor of "ceasing the development of nuclear weapons."
"I mean a weapon that is so powerful that we simply can never use it. If we ever use it, the world could literally collapse. There would be no United Nations to speak of. There would be nothing," Trump concluded.
