The FBI has fugitive's facial images; The gun used to kill Charlie Kirk has been found

FBI Agent Robert Bohls provided an update on the case.

"I can tell you that we have found what we believe to be the weapon used in yesterday's shooting, which is a high-powered assault rifle," Bohls said.

He also explained how the weapon was located and what the next steps were.

"That rifle was found in a wooded area where the shooter fled. The FBI lab will analyze this weapon," he said.

Along with the rifle, investigators found other important clues. Bohls added that they also found a palm print and forearm prints for analysis.

"We have facial images of the attacker"

Despite significant progress in the investigation and the discovery of key evidence, the person responsible for the murder has not yet been arrested. The search for the suspect is still ongoing. FBI agent Robert Bohls confirmed that authorities do not currently know how far the suspect fled or his exact location.

Bohls, however, assured the journalists that the FBI has the fugitive's facial images and announced that they could be released in the future for easier identification. Throughout the speech, the authorities referred to the suspect as "he", which was the first official confirmation that it was a man.

According to Boe Mason, who is leading the investigation, the suspect "appears to be of college age" and "fit in well at the institution of higher learning." In a statement to the press, Mason expressed confidence in the success of the search.

"We are confident in our abilities to follow that person," he emphasized.
