"We must stop Israel - the Nazis of the 21st century"
The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohamed Baker Kalibaf, condemned today Israel's war crimes against the Iranian people and the Palestinians in Gaza and said that the "Nazis of the 21st century" must be stopped.
"Gaza is not just a spot on the map, but a test of human conscience. We must not be observers of the genocide in Gaza, we must stop the Nazis of the 21st century before it is too late," Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohamed Baker Kalibaf, said at the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliaments in Geneva.
He assessed that the ideal of multilateralism, peace and justice is being "deliberately undermined", while, as he stated, "the credibility of international institutions is declining", Mehr agency reports.
Kalibaf recalled that Iran was recently the target of "obvious military aggression by the Zionist regime", and that the attacks were carried out with the support of the US, while international institutions, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), remained silent in the face of Israeli aggression.
"This aggression did not happen after the failure of diplomacy, but in the midst of political negotiations. Iran was at the negotiating table and committed to dialogue, but it was the invaders who overturned the negotiating table and chose a different path. In response to this aggression, Iran resolutely defended its territory and its people," he emphasized.
He added that "the Zionist regime's act of aggression, which was a deliberate violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, was condemned by 120 countries around the world.
"The few but violent Zionist supporters have prevented international bodies from taking decisive measures to punish criminal Israel. Do you know what the consequences of the impunity of the Zionist regime will be," asked Kalibaf.
He also pointed to the disaster in Gaza, saying that "the Zionists are using hunger and starvation as a weapon of mass destruction."
"Gaza today is a museum of crimes against humanity and a laboratory for testing lethal technologies; Today, Gaza is a place where the right to life is punished with bullets and hunger," warned Kalibaf.
