Moscow's message: We are one nation
The historical destiny of Russia and Ukraine is one, in these two countries one people lives, therefore the Russian Military Historical Society does not create special content for Ukrainian children, said Vladimir Medinsky.
The assistant to the president of the Russian Federation and the head of the Russian Military Historical Society (RVISTD) said in an interview with the Russian agency TASS that Russia and Ukraine have one historical homeland.
"When we create historical content, we do not separate Ukrainian from Russian children and we do not produce something specific for Ukraine. We respect, know and love the history of the talented and hardworking people of the ancient Russian lands on both sides of the Dnieper, Novorussia and Crimea. We are one people, we have one historical homeland," said Medinsky.
He expressed the hope that Ukrainian students, as well as adults, will soon be able to freely access the Russian Internet.
"I really want to believe that in the near future both school children and adults in Ukraine will be able to use all the diversity of the Russian Internet space and they will not need any special content," Medinsky said.
