Trump spoke up after the conversation with Putin: Let it begin

"I just finished a two-hour conversation with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. I believe it went very well. Russia and Ukraine will immediately begin negotiations on a ceasefire and, more importantly, an END to the war. The terms for that will be negotiated between the two sides, as it can only be, because they know the details of the negotiations that no one else knew. The talks were excellent, in a good spirit and tone. If it wasn't like that, I would have said it now, not later," said Trump.

He added that Russia wants to establish a large trade exchange with the United States when this catastrophic "bloodshed" is over, which he says he agrees with.

"There is a huge opportunity for Russia to create many new jobs and earn money. Its potential is UNLIMITED. Likewise, Ukraine can be a great partner in trade, in the process of rebuilding its country. Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will begin immediately," he pointed out.

As he said, he informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Finnish President Alexander Stubb about the talks with President Putin.

"The Vatican, represented by the Pope, has announced that it would be very interested in hosting the negotiations. Let the process begin!" concluded Trump.
