Unlike previously known cases, this network was focused on video streaming, not just downloading content. The platform contained more than 91,000 videos of explicit child abuse, totaling more than 6,000 hours. On average, three and a half new videos are uploaded to the platform every hour.

"Index" learns that a few days ago a man suspected of child pornography was arrested in Croatia. It is certain that his arrest was part of this operation.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia also participated in the operation

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Ivica Dacic, said that members of the Ministry of the Interior, the Department of Technology, and the Service for Combating High-Tech Crime participated in an international operation, together with 37 other countries of the world, carried out in cooperation with Europol, in which one of the largest platforms for pedophiles, "Kidflix", was closed, and within the framework of which A.M. (1997) and M.S. (1990) were arrested on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, who are suspected of having committed criminal acts - the act of displaying, obtaining and possessing pornographic material and exploiting a minor for pornography.

"Members of the Ministry of the Interior, the Directorate of Technology, the Service for Combating High-Technological Crime participated in an international operation against the sexual exploitation of children on the Internet, in which one of the largest platforms for pedophiles in the world, 'Kidflix', was closed. In the action carried out by the Federal Criminal Police of Bavaria, in cooperation with Europol and 37 other countries, a server containing about 72,000 videos created by the sexual exploitation of children was seized, and about 1,400 suspects worldwide, 79 of whom were arrested, more than 3,000 electronic devices were seized, and 39 children were protected from further exploitation. Europol rated this operation as the largest operation their experts participated in when it comes to the fight against sexual exploitation of children.

As part of this operation, the Service for the fight against high-tech crime, in cooperation with the Special Department for the fight against high-tech crime of the High Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, arrested A.M. (1997) and M.S. (1990), due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the crime of displaying, obtaining and possessing pornographic material and exploiting a minor for pornography.

Tracking cryptocurrencies has led to criminals

According to the Bavarian Office of Criminal Investigation (BLKA), access to the network was possible after registration and payment with cryptocurrencies, including currencies designed for maximum anonymity. However, investigators were able to track cryptocurrency transactions, even when anonymization services were used, and linked payments to users. So far, 1,393 suspects have been identified, and 79 people have been arrested.

As part of the operation, which was conducted under the name "OP flow", 96 locations in Germany were searched, and in Bavaria alone, nine searches were carried out on nine people in places such as Munich, Nuremberg, Rosenheim and others. A total of 12 suspects were in Bavaria, and the investigation is being conducted in Germany against 103 people.

Rescue of victims

In Germany, according to BLKA, the victims were also identified - among others, children were rescued and safely housed in North Rhine-Westphalia and Brandenburg.

The case of a 36-year-old man from Kemnitz who is suspected of actively seeking children for sexual abuse through "KidFlix" should be highlighted. After the arrest, the minor son was handed over to the competent social services due to the suspicion that he is endangered.

In another case, a 30-year-old man from Central Franconia is suspected of watching child pornography on the platform. Since there were two minor children living in the household, they were immediately transferred to the care of the center for social work after the search.

Multiple sex offender arrested in America

A multiple sex offender, who is suspected of systematically abusing a child he knew personally, has been arrested in the US, thanks to information received from Germany. There is a possibility that there may be more victims.

On March 10, 2025, a 52-year-old man was arrested in Hanover, found with more than 70 digital devices, a doll designed to imitate the body of a girl, various drugs and clues indicating that he was running a drug trade through the darknet.

A day later, on March 11, with the help of the Dutch authorities, a server with about 72,000 videos was seized. The page has been closed and now shows the official seizure notice.

The investigation continues, Croatia also participated

The operation was prepared by the Center for Combating Child Pornography and the State Attorney's Office in Bamberg, in cooperation with the Bavarian Investigation Office. Europol took over the coordination of the operation at the international level, including the initiative to identify the victims, and 38 countries participated in the operation. Among them is Croatia, where, as we mentioned, one person was arrested.

As part of the operation, large amounts of digital evidence were seized - computers, mobile phones, servers and other electronic media. The investigation continues because, according to official information, the identity of the people who managed the KidFlix platform is still unknown.
