Drama in Albania: Scientist from Croatia killed, mountaineers from Serbia saved PHOTO

The mountain rescue service in Albania reported that a Croatian citizen died after slipping on the Jezerski vrh mountain.

According to the statement, 7 mountaineers, 4 citizens of Croatia and 3 of Serbia, have been rescued so far. The deceased Croatian woman was a scientist from Osijek, 24sata writes.

"Our team, together with the Albanian state police and a member of the mountain search and rescue service, started a rescue operation from the Valbona valley and they were transported by helicopter to a nearby point, where it was possible to land. First, access was made to the injured L. Ž., born in 1981, who suffered fatal injuries and was found without signs of life. All were transported to the nearest hospital," reports the Kosovo Mountain Search and Rescue Service.

Some members of the mountaineer team is still being searched for.
