Partizan issued a statement: "We want to highlight the things that bother us"

On the club's official website, a statement titled "Partizan's professional staff and players against insults" was published.

The statement signed by team coach Željko Obradović and captain Vanja Marinković on behalf of the coaching staff and the entire first team is being transmitted to you in its entirety:

"The morning after the end of the tournament called NIS Open Air in which Paris, AEK and our Club Partizan took part, members of the professional staff and players of Partizan are addressing the public with the desire to highlight several important things:

First of all, a big thank you to our sports friends, the AEK and Paris teams who came to Belgrade and took part in our tournament. We sincerely hope that they enjoyed themselves in Belgrade and wish them much success in the season ahead.

To the fans of Partizan, many thanks for the loyalty, numbers and incredible support that we feel not only during matches, but also outside the court, on the street, in restaurants, theaters, cinemas, shopping centers... literally in every place in Belgrade and beyond.

At the same time, we are drawing attention to things that bother the coaching staff and the players of Partizan. These are insults of every kind, directed from our stands towards individuals or collectives. Such behavior and the image we send of ourselves by insulting others is exactly what we are fighting against.

We want to be an example to others, to welcome every opponent with respect and send them off with applause. The effect that the audience causes by insulting individuals and other teams is very negative, both for the players and for the members of the coaching staff.

By doing this from the stands, the focus is taken away from the game and what we do best and why we gathered, which is playing basketball for our Partizan. Help us by focusing all your concentration on supporting the team and songs that show your love for Partizan, without insulting anyone or any other unsportsmanlike outbursts.

Partizan's strength has always been that players and fans win together! In order for us to win more easily, it is necessary that we all focus all our energy on basketball and our love for Partizan at all times."
