Joan Peñarroya took over KK Partizan at a very difficult moment, when the team was in a series of poor results and, above all, in turmoil off the court following the departure of Željko Obradović and the drama that followed.

However, within a short period, Peñarroya managed to completely change the team’s image and bring it back onto a winning track.

Because of this, he is now attracting serious interest from several EuroLeague clubs. Among them, Bayern Munich and Anadolu Efes are mentioned as the most interested, according to the sports portal “Mozzart Sport.”

At the moment, the situation is still open, and the key factor is whether he will decide to continue the project in Belgrade or accept one of the offers from abroad.

Bayern is reportedly looking for a successor to Svetislav Pešić, who is expected to retire at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Anadolu Efes is preparing for changes on the bench, as Pablo Laso is almost certain not to remain in charge.

Both clubs are therefore exploring coaching options across Europe, with Joan Peñarroya among the names being considered due to his strong recent results with KK Partizan.

Peñarroya is reportedly even of interest to FC Barcelona, which is considering options in case of the departure of Xavi Pascual.

However, according to reports, all clubs that have contacted Peñarroya’s representatives have received the same response — the Spanish coach wants to stay with KK Partizan and finish the project he started in Belgrade’s Humska.

Joan Peñarroya arrived at KK Partizan during a major crisis, with heavy defeats and a poor run of results in the EuroLeague. However, he managed to establish a system and significantly improve the team’s form.

Under his leadership, Partizan recorded a run of six consecutive EuroLeague victories, the club’s best streak in the competition’s top tier.

Although a play-in spot was ultimately not secured due to the weak start to the season, the black-and-whites remain in contention for trophies in the ABA League and the Serbian SuperLeague, which are currently the main objectives of the Spanish coach.
